• A commission is a piece of artwork that I am paid to produce under guidelines and/or themes decided by you.

• To request a commission, please e-mail or direct message me (on Instagram) to inquire about availability. I may not always be available, but I will give my best estimate as to when I can accept your commission.

• I have the right to decline any commission request, for any reason. In declining a commission, it is usually out of your own interest as well as mine. As an artist, if I do not believe I can complete your request to the best of my ability, I will either discuss with you possible changes or suggest another artist.

​​

• I accept E-transfer, Paypal, cash, or cheque. At least half of the total cost is expected to be paid upfront, and the rest must be paid before receiving the finished artwork.

​​

• The amount of time that is takes to complete the artwork varies depending on the request, size, media, and time available to complete it. I will generally indicate an expected time during our conversations about the artwork. I may extend or shorten that estimated time. If the artwork is a time-sensitive gift, please indicate when you will need it by before I accept the commission.

• I recommend requesting pieces of art with the following themes:

  • Nature​ and Landscapes

  • Animals (especially birds!)

  • Pets

​​

• I will not complete requests with the following themes:​

  • Sexual/pornographic content. (Tasteful nudity may be considered).

  • Extreme or graphic violence

  • Replication of other artwork/styles

  • Replication of a photo that you did not take

  • Anything I deem uncomfortable at that time

• Once purchased, the physical artwork is yours; however, I own the copyright to the artwork and any reproduction or print of said work. I retain the right to post images of the artwork on my social media and website. You may not:

  • Re-sell my artwork as your own work (or the work of anyone other than myself), even after alterations.

  • Scan/photograph and reproduce the artwork, especially for commercial purposes.

  • Un-credit myself (Pat Nancekivell) from the work. I must be credited for the artwork during the entirety of its existence.

• If you do alter the artwork, please let me know and tell me about your intentions. (I don't bite! Sometimes I'm just curious.)

• If you do not live within or around Fredericton, New Brunswick or do not have a method of picking up the artwork in Fredericton, New Brunswick, I may charge you for shipping (usually equal or less than the amount I require to ship to your location) and I cannot guarantee that the piece of work will arrive 100% intact; I am not responsible for any damage caused by the shipping company.
